We have a bit of a joke that while David and Joseph are equal partners in what we do sometimes one will be a more senior partner than the other.  In the little competition we have running this week to see which of the two generate the most sales Joseph is establishing himself as the senior partner.  yesterday he thrashed David ! This morning David has got off to a good start with Joseph yet to make his mark. What will happen during the day ?  The blog will be updated periodically so do come back and check !

Great News - all of the video files are back on our server and working properly. Phew that's a mega relief !  Sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused to anyone.

Now this problem which has dogged us for nearly a week is out of the way we can get on and sort a load of new video material for the site.  David smiles as this may increase his sales figures in the contest with Jo.  He he he..............

A number of blog readers have been asking how Jo's kittens are doing ?  His cat BUBBLES gave birth to six kittens a week ago. the news is ALL are alive, healthy and growing.

We have been asking Jo for the past few days to get some pictures of the kittens to add to the blog. he says they are to young to be able to have pictures appearing on an adult website !  What he means is he keeps forgetting to e-mail them to David to add to the blog. But here's a picture of a heavily pregnant Bubbles the night before she gave birth.

Today David will be trying hard to catch up with a whole load of video editing from the past two shoots, the problem of re-uploading all of the video library to the server lost us almost a week of time where we should have been doing that.

It's a good job our other team members work from their homes, there's not room here for us all. Tomorrow David and Jo will be breaking from working on the site to have a normal business meeting and plan what we want to achieve over the coming months. On the agenda is our leasing two top of the range Mercedes cars !

No not really although it would be nice ! But we do need to think ahead to being able to afford a larger office, perhaps in six or twelve months time. We do need it.

But before we can dream of a larger office never mind pie in the sky top of the range cars, we need to get a load of work done, bring in more site visitors and expand our content.

The way we operate our own work areas in Guyz Studio places us in charge of different sales areas within the site. Now don't get carried away thinking we are making a fortune 'cos we aint !  But we have decided to have a bit of a contest between us to see who generates the most income for the site over the course of the week.

Yesterday saw Joseph's department edge ahead of David. Not to be outdone David has made a good start to the day with Joseph yet to get off the mark. But no doubt during the day you will see the yellow bar against his name surge forwards.

Joseph looks after our webcam lads so with stunning live shows from both Ryden and Harris yesterday that kicked his sales figures forward. I went to my local branch of Tesco yesterday, wheeled my shopping trolley (For the benefit of our American readers that's a CART) up and down the isles where I selected all of the Buy-one-get-one-free offers. Each time I placed just one in the trolley then moved on to the next item.

At the check out the girl scanned each item before handing me a bill and asking for payment.

"But these are free,"  I protested.

"No sir it's buy one get one free."

"But I don't want the buy ones, just the get one free ones."

She looked puzzled.

"I left the buy ones on the shelves, these are the free ones."

She thought I was mad and had this actually happened I would have been.

Leaving Tesco and the aborted attempt to get my weekly shopping for free I went to TGI Friday's where they were advertising free starters. But when I tried to order just a free starter and nothing else I was soon shown the door.

No of course this did not happen - I would have to have been a bit mad to have tried it and the whole world would have had to have been turned on hits head for anyone to even think it could work.

Hold all that in your mind for a moment while I tell you something that DID happen yesterday.

As I was explaining in yesterday's blog we want to expand our Guyz Stories website by bringing in new writers so the stories there are from more authors than just myself. I also explained yesterday how the site is FREE to use. I contacted a lot of writers whose stories appear on the Nifty site, that site is also free to use but has extensive banner advertising on every page.

I had not one but SEVERAL writers e-mail me back saying they only submit their stories to free sites.

Doh - idiots - thick or what !  Guyz Stories is FREE.  One said he preferred to have his stories on free sites and we have on Guyz Stories lots of links to pay sites. Yes we do - OUR PAY SITES. You don't have to click the links any more than one would when visiting the superb Nifty site - GUYZ STORIES IS A FREE SITE.

Why is it free ?  How can it be free ?  Simple the paid areas of Guyz Studio fund it.

Just the way the BUY ONE funds the GET ONE FREE items in Tesco or the MAIN COURSE funds the FREE STARTER in TGI Friday's.  The only thing is with Guyz Stories you CAN have the FREE element without having to buy the paid bit. Yet still some people moan !

Every time a visitor opens a web page within Guyz Studio it costs us money - YES IT DOES - a little thing called bandwidth where we are charged for server use.  OK it is fractions of a penny but with several million pages opened every month this adds up to a significant sum. It costs £40, or about $68 + tax per year for every giga byte of hosting space, we have a lot of hosting space. Every domain name costs £17 + tax - about $29 per year - we have over 20 domain names. So having Guyz Studio on the Net costs money every second of every day.

Trust me running a website is NOT a passport to riches.  Last week we had a good week for sales income but I have just worked it out across the hours the team spent running the site - it comes to  £1.90 an hour or about $1.11.  That is BEFORE any of the above operating costs are taken out. Would you work for that sum ?

I was at the computer for 5am this morning. In my e-mail inbox is my co-director Jo's work schedule for the coming week. Today Jo will be leaving his home in South-east London at about 11am, taking the train and plans to be in the office for 1pm.  He is staying here until 8pm then heading home. He should be back by about 10pm.  That's an eleven hour day !  If Jo is here in the office until 8pm that means I will be here until 8pm = 15 hour day.  James is working on more art for the Guyzpix site - by the way his latest portrait featuring Mikey and Ian is reproduced on the left. Other team members are hard at work.

Most of Guyz Studio is FREE - we don't have a problem about that an nobody is obliged to use any of the pay areas if they do not want to but you know it hurts when there are those who begrudge us the few pennies we do get from all our work - it's like a slap in the face or putting the finger up to us.

It would be mad to expect Tesco to give away free all of the groceries it sells or TGI Friday to hand out free food, why then do some people think we should make all of our content free ?

Sorry about the moan but I hope you can see my point of view.

BUT a lot of positive things came out of those e-mails I sent to writers yesterday.

Dale from Wisconsin USA added two stories yesterday AN EVENING WITH ADAM and THE PAPERBOY DELIVERS - do have a read, they are GREAT stories.  I have another of his works to add to the site later today. This new friend of the site and cyber buddy will be adding hot tales on a regular basis.

Then there's Will, also from the US of A who has some great stories I'll be starting to add over the coming days - you'll defo enjoy them. 

Super and supportive people like Dale and Will make up for the clowns who e-mail me asking why everything is not free. By the way visitor hits to Guyz Stories are going up day on day.

Let me tell you about another contributor to Guyz Studio - Sunny from NW Britain - somewhere between Liverpool and Manchester. I was talking a while back to an American friend of our site and said that the further North one goes in England the kinder and more friendly the people become. Honestly in my experience that is a fact. Well Sunny comes from the friendly North West of the country.

Sunny has been hard at work writing and recording audio for our Phone the Boyz area of the website. Tales like these:

I really do not want to keep writing here on the blog about my stupid error in deleting all the videos from the server but just to update everyone, all of the spanking videos are now back and I am working to put back the remainder. I am a little over half way so sincerely hope to have everything back to normal by the end of Monday.

For those who are already aware of what I am now about to share I apologise but today I want to talk a little bit about how Guyz Studio came into being.  As I natter on you'll see what I am getting at..............

Once upon a time, a long while ago when I was a hot, horny youth I used to go on a Saturday to my local leisure centre to kick a football (I used to be a football referee in youth leagues), play squash (I am crap at that game but love to whack the ball hard) and always end up in the sauna.

It was my mate Steve, and yes that really is him on the right, who introduced me to the joys of a hot sauna. There was quite a gang of mates that used to go to the leisure centre each week, nobody ever said anything but I guess we all enjoyed being naked together - seeing and being seen.

Fast forward now to the year 2000, the Internet was in its infancy back then. Do you remember dial up and the funny squeaking noise generated while the connection was being made ? Anyway never mind that.................

I started to think back to my sauna days and suddenly one night in bed had the inspiration to feature one of the naked lads from the sauna visits in a story.  I got up, found a pen and paper then scribbled down my very first ever story LOSING MY VIRGINITY.

I have always loved writing, even from my teenage years I dreamed of becoming a famous novelist and making my fortune with a pen. I am actually a published writer, I have had three books published but all were flops and have long been out of print.

That first man-erotic story excited me and inspired me to write more. Titles MY BUSINESS PARTNER, THE SUPER WANK and LEARNING MORE ABOUT MY TWO FRIENDS soon followed.

The first buzz a writer gets from putting words in the correct order to make a story is actually doing that, writing the story. The second buzz comes when he knows somebody reads and enjoys what he has written.  I began sharing my stories on the infant Internet and was utterly surprised with the response I received. I knew very little about computers and remember in the year 2000 the Internet was not what it is now. I found a cyber buddy who was willing to help and we launched a website called Pants Off Party.  It lasted for less than a month. When the web hosting company went bankrupt the site died !

Those who know me will be aware that there is a dogged persistence about me. I started again, this time with a website called Nationwide Authors. But I made a big mistake in allowing other people to work with me, one of whom I found it totally impossible to achieve anything with.  One day in temper I walked away and told the rest to get on with the site without me.  It failed and was dead within a month.

Third time lucky perhaps. In April 2005 I decided I would start again, this time entirely on my own.  I could just about write a web page, by trial and error I managed to write a website then with the amazing help of a guy called Colin at the hosting company First-Web Network Services my new story site went live in July 2005.  

Yes, it was a case of third time lucky.

That story site is STILL on-line almost five years later. Re-branded now as Guyz Stories, click the banner on the left to check it out.

It began as a hobby, a simple way I could get my own man-erotic writing on the Net but I am not the kind of person who lets opportunity pass me by so when destiny threw up a series of possibilities I reached out and grabbed them. Now, almost five years later Guyz Studio is a network of websites which hit every day to thousands of people all round the world - last count we had site visitors in 97 different countries.

Through the site and it's expanding operations I have met some super people, people I am lucky and proud to call my friends.  Tim (Left), who has supported me and worked with me for the greater part of the time the sites have been on line.  At 26 years of age there is a bit of a generational difference between us but he is still a close and loving friend. A bigger age difference exists between myself and Joseph (Right) who has become my business partner in the venture and who works with me full-time to make all you find on the Net happen.

Going back to my horny naked days in the sauna at our local leisure centre I could never have dreamed my waving my manhood before others would have evolved into my writing stories then publishing them on the Internet, no such thing existed back then.

So that's how it happened, in a nutshell at least.  Some of the blog readers will be aware of the story while others perhaps this is the first time you have heard it.

Second only to our spanking website GUYZSPANK, that original story website is the most popular site within Guyz Studio. Yesterday a new era in its development began. Until now it has only been a site with my own writing included. If it is to develop and widen its popularity it has to have writers other than myself. The first of those new writes Dale from the USA appears with a story AN EVENING WITH ADAM  Do check this out, have a good read and send Dale an e-mail to tell him how much you enjoyed the story. There will be more writing appearing from Dale over the coming weeks.

Mind you Jo and I took some time yesterday to have lunch together, even if it was a business lunch.  Jo treated me by taking me to a lovely Italian restaurant where my plate of spaghetti bolognaise was one of the best I have ever eaten.

Remember on Wednesday I said on the blog page that Jo had become a father ?

One of our site models James (Left) messaged me on MSN to say he almost dropped his mug of tea when he read that !  Then he read on to find that Jo's entry into paternity was his cat Bubbles giving birth.

Bubbles gave birth to six little kittens which are all doing well. Jo took some pics on his phone to add to the blog but forgot to give them to me yesterday. Send them over Jo the blog readers are keen to see your new family members.

What a complete, utter and total disaster yesterday was ! Could not have been a more crap day !

One tiny mistake, one wrong click of the mouse and I deleted NINETY SEVEN videos and 11Gb of content from our website server.

I am slowly putting everything back into place but this is going to be a very, very long job. As I type now video number 17 of the 97 is almost fully loaded to the server.

Yesterday was going along swimmingly, I was catching up on the backlog of video editing from our shoot two weeks ago then this happened ! The rest of the day was totally written off ! I don't exactly have a slow internet connection but this is taking ages and ages and ages.

Right that's video 17 on the server, 18 has just started.

I tell you this disaster made me seriously think about packing it all in. Utterly crap and rubbish day.

But Friday is another day, must be positive and move on.

Site visitor hits yesterday we not bad at all. A new county was added to our visitor profile - YEMEN meaning we now have friends from 97 different countries using Guyz Studio.

Video 20 49% uploaded. I tell you this is a terrible nightmare. All because of a silly wrong click of the mouse ! No matter how hard I am trying to concentrate on work I can not get away from the uploading of the video and putting right the silly error of yesterday. Problem is I have to monitor what's happening so must be at the PC. Yesterday I was about for most of the day but today I have a meeting which takes me out of the office at about 10am and I doubt I will be back much before six or seven. Some of the larger videos can take an hour to upload.
